You can Explore the Stars tonight & tomorrow night on Palomar Mountain from the Cleveland National Forest Service's Observatory Campground (named for Palomar Observatory, but not actually at the observatory).
Lots of amateur astronomers will be setting up telescopes and the views should be great.

Our thanks to Scott, his staff and volunteers for taking their time in hosting a terrific tour this past Saturday evening. As we were traveling back from our bus trip, one had to think of Van Gough and what he saw when he painted starry starry nights. Over the years, and with one's interest in astrology and knowledge, we are now able to partake in viewing all. It's out there, enjoy it. Thank you
