Aluminizing Update #4
I am still away and haven 't had any reports come my way, but in the picture below (click to enlarge) you can see the crew giving a final push to put the mirror cart intoplace for washing and stripping the mirror.
Can't wait to meet you tomorrow night, Scott, in Corning, NY, where the Hale's mirror was made. Members of the regional section of the American Physical Society appreciate the trip you've made as we celebrate telescopes past and future. We don't get many of them in here in rural NY, but here's to clear skies for everyone gazing up tonight!
