Here is last Saturday's sunset as viewed from behind the dome of the 200-inch telescope at Palomar Observatory.

Dodging clouds that evening our automated telescopes were working hard on observations for the Palomar Transient Factory while our Caltech observer was using the Hale Telescope to get follow-up spectra on objects discovered as a part of the Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey.
