Does that include the gift shop?
It will be closed but if you need to get something you can find ordering info here.
Is there a lot of snow there? Is that why it is closed?
We are mostly closed because of our major maintenance project going on with the 200-inch telescope.
We do have some snow but it is melting fast. It is pretty much gone in every sunny place.
Will the parking lot/picnic area around the observatory be closed tomorrow? Is there enough snow for kids to play?
The parking lot & the entire observatory grounds are currently closed to the public.
The snow is melting fast. It is totally gone in the sunny areas but some does remain in the shady spots.

Yes, it does look like we will be open to the public today.
